I had not been satisfied with the sound quality from my surround sound system, until I decided to purchase this optical cable. The quality of construction and audio it delivers totally rejuvenates my 9 year old system. I suppose any optical cable would do, but I trust the Monster brand. I have purchased Monster products in the past, whenever I could afford it, so I had expectations of high performance and longevity and it delivered.
