Behringer UFO202 U-Phono High-Quality USB Audio Interface with Built-In Phono Preamp Immediately

This is a cry for help that must precede my review, which I'm thinking is going to be favorable after I get over this initial obstacle. I'm not technologically hip (Hence the large collection of LPs and analog turntable). Can someone help this technosaur out? I originally ordered the UCA202 thinking it had the phono-preamp. Now I think I have all I need to record my LPs to the PC via the UFO202.

UFO202 installation and operation are as simple as advertised. However, I can't figure out the correct configuration of Audacity and my PC (HP G60). Audio from LPs playing on my analog Denon DP-62L sounds great in the headset jack. Audacity though, only records and then plays back on the right channel. There is no discernable signal in the left channel. I believe I have the latest Behringer drivers downloaded. I've tried configuring each of the PC's USB ports, uninstalling, then reinstalling the Behringer driver and restarting the PC. I've looked at tons of "How-to" articles and help for recording LPs on PCs, but haven't found any procedure that triggers Audacity to record and play back the left channel. I have Audacity v1.3.12-beta(Unicode), set to Stereo, 44100Hz, 16-bit PCM.

My input choices are:
MME: Line In (Behringer USB WDM AUDI
Windows DirectSound: Line In (Behringer USB WDM AUDIO 2.8.17
(I ensured each was set to 2 Channel Stereo when selected)

I reckon what baffles me is I can hear the record just fine in the UFO202 head phone jack, so I figure I shouldn't be too far aware from getting the left channel to record. All other sounds work through the PC's left/right speakers. I'm thinking I'm overlooking something woefully simple.

Can anyone calibrate me? I appreciate you taking the time.
