I got this item because it was cheap and I wanted to find out what the description meant by "splitter". As far as I can tell this is just a 3-way AV switch with no splitting capability. So it's fine as a switch but the description is a bit misleading IMHO.Get more detail about AV Audio Video RCA 3 Way Switch Switcher Splitter+Cable.
