I bought this because I was tired of having a drawer full of cables I only use on rare occasions. In this case, I needed it only to watch HD movies straight out of the camera. It works as long as the camera is carefully arranged at a 45 degree angle and no one moves it. Unfortunately, we need to rewind, skip forward, ect. and doing so loses the connection and sends my Samsung TV into sleep mode. I would not recommend this adapter to anyone.
