This is a great recorder if you're learning to play electric guitar and are taking lessons. I can record a lesson and then go back to loop certain sections that I want to practice. You can slow down fast sections that you need to work on, and it doesn't mess up the pitch. If you play along with songs, this also allows that easily.
It's also nice if you live in an apartment, because you can just plug into this, use headphones, and it's pretty quiet. The guitar effects are also a fun feature to mess around with, and can make practice a little more entertaining if you're working on boring stuff like scales.
The one bad thing is that for some reason I thought it came with a metal casing, which would be amazing, so was a little disappointed that it was mostly plastic. I also wish you could charge from USB while using it for practice, but it doesn't allow that.
