Lexar Professional Series 4 GB 300x UDMA CompactFlash Memory Card CF4GB-300-381

I purchased this Lexar professional UDMA 300x and the 233x for my Nikon D700 prior to purchasing the camera since it went on sale. After reading the owner's manual, this is one of the recommended CF cards (300x) for my camera. After formatting the memory card, it worked flawlessly when I tested it at 5fps and was able to keep up with the number of consecutive shots that I took using the highest settings: RAW + FINE, L. It took approximately 4 seconds after the 5th shot before the green CF busy indicating light extinguished on my camera. My 15 in 1 memory card reader (generic brand) was able to read and transfer files from the CF card. This was my first time to use CF cards since I use to have the Nikon D80 which is why I was worried since I thought I needed a special card reader for CF UDMA cards. The minimum card speed recommended was 133x from the owner's manual, and my other 233x CF card worked just as well. I know Lexar Professional came up with a much faster CF card (600x). You might want to consider getting that at a higher price if you want to optimize the 8 fps capability of your camera using an external battery grip. You probably know this if you already have it for your D300 or D300s. Overall, I am very happy with this memory card. I only shoot .jpg files on most occasions; therefore, I do not need the 8GB or 16GB. This card fills my needs. Happy shooting and enjoy your Nikons!Get more detail about Lexar Professional Series 4 GB 300x UDMA CompactFlash Memory Card CF4GB-300-381.
