Don't use this with a microphone like I did (Rode Videomic) because it is poorly wired for that purpose. I am guessing the shielding is done poorly.
It will introduce noise (a lot) and will roll off the high end above 2kHz.
I measured 2.2 ohms on each conductor when I pinned it out. That is a lot of resistance for such a short cable.Get more detail about Cables Unlimited AUD-1000-25 3.5mm Male to Female Stereo Cable (25 Feet, Black).
